Entrances

The art center has two entrances, one from Gammel Strand 48 and one from Læderstræde 15 - through the courtyard. The exhibition halls are accessible via the elevator or stairs connecting all three floors. There is access for wheelchairs and prams from Læderstræde 15 through the courtyard, where you can access all the floors of the art center by elevator.

Join us, when GL STRAND opens Rune Bosse’s new solo exhibition After fire Thursday November 2!

We start with an artist talk, where you can meet the artist in conversation with cultural geographer and author Emmy Laura Pérez Fjalland and learn more about the thoughts behind the exhibition and the transformative power of fire.

Program:

16.00-17.00: Welcome by director Nanna Hjortenberg followed by artist talk between Rune Bosse and Emmy Laura Pérez Fjalland.

17.00-20.00: Exhibition opening and the bar is open.

Rune Bosse (b. 1987) works in the context of the natural sciences and in he often manipulates nature’s biological processes in his works, and more particularly, he works with the tree as living material. Bosse graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2016, but has, in addition to his academy education, also followed studies at Olafur Eliasson’s experimental art school, Institut für Raumexperimente in Berlin.
