Experience some of brightest minds when it comes to Japanese contemporary art and contemporary literature in this conversation between translator of Japanese literature Mette Holm and art historian Gunhild Ravn Borggreen. Drawing on GL STRAND’s exhibition with Tabaimo, they will unfold all the marvelous and mysterious worlds that exist within Japanese culture – in the visual arts as well as in literature.

Mette Holm is the translator of most of the Japanese fiction we have in Denmark, including authors such as Hiroko Oyamada, Sayaka Murata and Haruki Murakami.

Gunhild Ravn Borggreen is a researcher at the University of Copenhagen, where she researches socially engaged contemporary art and art festivals in Japan as well as the relationship between art and technology, roboto-culture and nationality and gender in Japanese contemporary art and visual culture.
